CATHOLICS PLEASE EXPLAIN?

Your very premise is faulty in that it demands biblical support for these things. We don't care whether the bible does or not. Catholics do not believe in sola scriptura because, ironically, it is not in the bible. Hence we feel no need to derive our beliefs from the bible. Catholic teaching is not allowed to contradict the bible, but it need not be found in the bible either. So the real question here is not where in the bible these beliefs are, but rather where in the bible does it forbid these beliefs?
