An old HPT test ,,,, Can this effect the accuracy of HPT? plzzzzzz reply?

I bought an CLEAR VIEW HPT (The one that comes with a dropper) in march 2011. The stupid shopkeeper opened the packing at the shop just to tell me how to use it.... then my period came on the same day so i put that HPT in my cupboard (the seal was broken). Now if I use it now, will it effect its accuracy? Will it give me correct result coz the seal was broken 3 months back. Kindly reply. Thanks
