Do you think I could get away with giving monopoly money to the shopkeeper ?

The shopkeeper at my local newsagent never looks at the money when you give it to him. He just puts it into the till and doesn't even glance. He's always Half-asleep or stoned. Do u think I could get away with using monopoly money ?.
